What is needed?

This porch and yard is a great place for
hummingbirds to feed and roam.

Providing a safe environment for humming birds doesn't mean the place has to be secluded. Hummingbirds are not shy. As long as there is a place where they can go to and fro without being harmed it should be just fine. However, it would be very nice if the area has plenty of beautiful plants.



Planting tubular flowers in your yard and garden provides a great environment for hummingbirds. These types of flowers are their favorites. They are especially attracted to bright red and deep orange blossoms. If you don't have room to plant flowers in your yard, planting in a window box, or other containers will suffice. Even hanging flower baskets on a porch is nice.
